When “Bad” Changes Happen to Good People

Many who have read Harold Kushner’s landmark book, When Bad Things Happen to Good People learned there are laws of nature in place on the earth that, if broken, will cause bad things to happen. For example, if a worker slips from a 10 foot ladder, gravity will pull the worker to the ground and there will be an injury. Just as there are laws of nature, I believe there also are “laws” for managing organizational change. Below are three sets of theoretical laws I describe for organizations as a whole, for change agents within the organization, and for recipients of these changes.
